What happens at your first visit?

Your history
Your first visit to the practice will be longer than a normal check up. We take your full medical and dental history, as well as discussing your expectations and discover if there is any aspect of your dental health or smile which causes you concern.

A comprehensive examination
This is followed by a comprehensive dental examination, taking x-rays to aid diagnosis. A check will be made of your teeth, gums, jaw joints, tongue and soft tissues for abnormalities.

Your treatment plan
Following this consultation, we will be able to provide you with a personalised treatment plan and estimate of cost.

Complex cases
For complex cases, further appointments may be necessary before a treatment plan is formulated.
New patient questionnaire
- Please take some time to complete the New Patient Questionnaire and Medical History. This will save you time on your first visit.
- You can complete this form in the practice on your first visit. Please arrive early to allow a minimum of 10 minutes before your allotted time to complete the form.
